Jeep Cherokee Interior Technology
What’s great about the Jeep Cherokee interior is that it has an infotainment system that keeps you connected, entertained, and in the know while you cruise the highway or head to the off-road trails.
This includes a standard Uconnect® 4 system with a 7- or available 8-inch touchscreen display. You can control your command center via the touchscreen or through the Integrated Voice Command feature with Bluetooth®. The 8-inch touchscreen system offers an integrated navigation feature, so you’ll have access to turn-by-turn directions to your destination.
With this feature, you can wirelessly connect your smartphone to your infotainment system. Then, you can make important phone calls while on the go without taking your hands off the wheel.
You can also fully integrate your smartphone through Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® compatibility. These give you access to some of your favorite smartphone apps—like navigation, audio streaming, and phone calls—via your infotainment touchscreen.
Your music will come through clearer than ever with the available Alpine® Premium Sound System. With nine well-placed speakers and 506 watts of power, you’ll have front-row seats to your own personal concert!
Jeep Cherokee Storage & Cargo Space
When you’re loading up your new Jeep Cherokee for your next getaway, you’ll have all the interior space you need for passengers and cargo.
This two-row SUV can seat a total of five passengers, while still giving you 25.8 cubic feet of trunk space behind the second row. If you need even more room, fold down the standard 60/40 split-folding rear seats to access the full 54.7 cubic feet of cargo space. You’ll have room for all the adventure gear you need, from camping supplies to a pair of bikes.
The cargo space is convenient to load up, as well, with the available Hands-free Power Liftgate. This automatically opens the hatch with a simple wave of your foot under the rear bumper so that you don’t have to put down what you’re holding to access the cargo area. Plus, with an available hidden cargo floor, you can store even more gear safely out of sight.
Interior Dimensions & Seating in the Jeep Cherokee
The two rows of seats are quite spacious: There’s room for adults even in the back row, where you’ll find 38.5 inches of headroom and 40.3 inches of legroom. The first row of seats is more spacious still with 39.4 inches of headroom and 41.1 inches of legroom. Find room to relax and stretch your legs!
You can decorate the cabin to suit your style. The fabric and available Nappa leather seats come in a variety of colors, including:
- Dark Sienna
- Ski Gray
Add a bit of flare with accent stitching in hues like Storm Blue, Light Frost, and Ruby Red. The dynamic colors really help add some contrast to the cabin.
Cabin Comforts and Convenience Features
Whether you’re settling in for a road trip or simply commuting to work, it’s important to be comfortable when you take the wheel of your Jeep Cherokee. The interior of this Jeep SUV has you covered with plenty of comfort and convenience features.
Available heated and ventilated front seats, for example, help you regulate your temperature and stay comfortable, even on the snowiest winter mornings and sunniest summer afternoons. A heated steering wheel is available, too. Plus, you can keep the cabin temperate with available Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control—let the driver and front passenger each control their own seating zones.
On those long drives, available 8-way power driver’s and front passenger seats will help you stay comfy. The available 4-way power lumbar feature will ensure your lower back gets the support it needs.
An available CommandView® Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof rounds out the experience. This sunroof spans the entire length of the cabin, bringing in plenty of natural sunlight and fresh air. It makes for a more refreshing adventure!
Jeep Cherokee Safety Features
You want to feel safe when you slide behind the wheel of an SUV. Thankfully, the Jeep Cherokee has an array of sensors that work together to alert you when a vehicle gets close to your safety zones. With the driver-assist features offered in the Cherokee, you can drive safer and avoid or mitigate accidents.
Available LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist will alert you when you drift past your lane boundaries without signaling a lane change. If you do need to change lanes, an available Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Path Detection will help you do so safely. Other features are available and include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go
- Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking
- ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist System
Standard across all Jeep Cherokee trim levels is the ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera. As you try to reverse in crowded parking lots, use it to reveal hidden objects behind you on your Uconnect® screen.
